Dear HFCA Supporters,

Jaccari didn’t need a billboard to find his way to Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy. He had a role model.

“My brother went here. He graduated,” Jaccari says. “I look up to him.”

That connection wasn’t just a reason to apply. It was a vision of what’s possible. Now, as Jaccari prepares to enter 11th grade this fall, he’s creating his own story at HFCA, one filled with growth, pride, and purpose.

Though he’s been part of the HFCA community for a few years, there was a moment when things really clicked:

“I started to feel like this was my high school,” he says. “Like, this is my place.”

For Jaccari, that sense of belonging comes down to relationships with classmates, but especially with teachers.

“They actually care. It’s not just about the class. It’s a relationship.”

He’s seen the impact of that support firsthand. Whether it’s academic growth or learning how to carry himself with confidence, he’s grateful. He’s still thinking about what comes after graduation, but knows college is the goal.

“I’m still figuring out my career path,” he shares honestly. “But I know I want to find something I really care about.”

When asked what he’d say to students who are still unsure about joining HFCA, Jaccari doesn’t hesitate:

“Just know there’s help. There are people here who will push you, guide you, and help you figure it out.”

To the donors and supporters who make that guidance possible through studio spaces, summer camps, and resources that go beyond the classroom, Jaccari is deeply grateful.

“It really means a lot. All the stuff we have here, the extras, the opportunities, it’s because people gave.”

We’re proud to spotlight Jaccari as a young man who is growing into leadership, learning through reflection, and building a future shaped by courage, connection, and care.

Thank you,

The HFCA Team
