Some Weeks You Play Basketball. Some Weeks You Take Over the Gym.

This was one of those weeks for Demarion Epperson.
In a dominant win against Eastbrook Academy, Demarion didn’t just lead the game, he controlled it.
37 points. 13 rebounds. 5 steals.
The kind of stat line that makes you double-check the box score.
And then he did it again.
Later that week at the Win Parkinson Invitational, Demarion followed up with another double-double, posting 28 points, 15 rebounds, and three assists in a big-time win against Carmen. Different night. Same mindset.
What most people don’t see is where performances like this really start.
Hard work looks quiet in practice.
It looks repetitive.
It looks boring.
Until game day comes and it shows up exactly like this.
Because of his standout performances, Demarion is now in the running for the Journal Sentinel High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Piggly Wiggly. This is where the HFCA community comes in.
