“I’ve been playing Volleyball for five years,”
“It was special because I got to be part of something meaningful representing my school in a sport I love and proving what HFCA players are capable of.
I enjoyed the energy and the bond with my teammates. We pushed each other, laughed a lot, and made every practice fun
Being a part of HFCA’s volleyball team was really special to me because it felt like we were making history and setting the foundation for those who will come after us. This season, I enjoyed the teamwork and the bond we built during practices and games we pushed each other, learned from our mistakes, and grew together. Next season, I’m looking forward to staying involved in the program and hope to become one of the coaches or managers so I can help guide the next group and keep the program growing. “

Piggly Wiggly Athlete of the Week
Some weeks you play basketball. Some weeks you take over the gym. Demarion Epperson had one of those weeks.
He poured in 37 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 steals in a dominant performance. Then he came back like it was business as usual. 28 points, 15 rebounds, and a big-time win to follow.
Hard work looks boring in practice. Then it shows up like this on game day.
Demarion was a contender for the Journal Sentinel High School Athlete of the Week, presented by Piggly Wiggly. While he didn’t take home the title, our community is incredibly proud of the way he represented Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy with excellence, effort, and consistency.
Moments like these don’t happen by accident. They’re built, one practice at a time.
